The Majestic Athletic story began in the 1950s, when Mary Capobianco endeavored to open her own sewing mill. After working in the booming garment industry of Bangor, Pennsylvania, she realized she could work just as hard for herself and get much more in return. She started with women's clothing, blouses mostly. The company was called Maria Rose Fashions, and served well-dressed women from coast to coast. It was a far cry from athletic apparel, but it demanded the same attention to detail. After learning the garment business first-hand, her son Faust Capobianco, III, followed in her footsteps. In 1976, he founded the Majestic Athletic you know today. Well, almost. The spirit was there, but the company hadn't made it to the big leagues yet. That happened in 1982, when Majestic introduced their first Major League Baseball batting practice jersey. This relationship grew in 1984 when the company signed their first MLB National Licensing Agreement, which brought fans the high-quality apparel they needed to truly show their team's colors. Quality of jersey was very good. Ordered a X-Large and seemed to be a little bigger than the usual XL's. May want to consider the next size smaller when ordering.

I bought this jersey in hopes that it would give me the strength and virility of an MLB player. Unfortunately, since the Chicago Cubs haven't won a championship since.. oh yeah.. never, the only thing this jersey has gotten me is constant ridicule and made my baseball team go 15-5 on the season, only to choke during the playoffs and lose to the worst team in my league.
While such obvious negatives would generally warrant just one star, if any, I decided to give this jersey two stars because I found many other uses for the jersey. These uses include wiping up dog puke (before he tries to eat it), fire kindling, and as a diaper for my two year old. Never mix the last two uses at the same time, or someone might call DFS on you.
Of course, just having this jersey and a kid in the same house might also get DFS called on you, and for good reason. Nothing gets a kid made fun of more easily than supporting a team that wouldn't even win in the Special Olympics.
